As the Tour de Zwift "Pro-Am" invitational series nears its conclusion, we decided to send a few riders off to the new Kalas Cup: a 10 week league with a wide degree of race types. For the team, it was about keeping the legs turning and getting some good training in ahead of Tuesday. But with 5 laps of Innsbruckring, it was never going to be a walk in the park. Five times! The masochists at the Kalas Cup certainly knew how to bring the pain. However, with plenty of primes along the way, there were some good opportunities to get some sprint training in.
Well, it couldn't have gone better: James smashed it in the final sprint going from incredibly far out and holding it all the way to the line. Whilst in the women's race, both Claudia and Kristin showed that it's still possible to win by being consistent across the entire race and not just winning the final sprint. Can't do better than 100% of the team getting on the podium and taking both wins.
Can't wait to have the whole team there next week. Below you'll find the final podiums.
